Dunedin's Victoria Rd car park is set to become a campervan site next week

Dunedin's Victoria Rd car park is set to become a campervan site next week

The City Council is converting part of the area into a temporary campervan area, to cope with the influx of people expected for the Pink concert - which takes place on Tuesday.

Events Team Leader Dan Hendra says 100 bookable spots will be available for certified self-contained vehicles next to the Dunedin Ice Stadium, from Monday through till Wednesday.

He says this should help ease accommodation demand - as they're expecting a record number of people in the city.

Rubbish bins, security services and portaloos will be provided to those staying.
