Authorities have intercepted 50 kilograms of cocaine at the border

Authorities have intercepted 50 kilograms of cocaine at the border

Specialist teams identified a high-risk shipment from Brazil at the Port of Tauranga in early February.

Four men were initially arrested - with seven more arrests since after searches in Auckland and Tauranga.

Two men are believed to be senior members of a notorious gang, not named by police.

All 11 men face charges relating to importation, conspiracy, and possession for supply of cocaine.

    Two also face firearms possession.
