A well known Wellington beer bar is closing down after more than 14 years in business

A well known Wellington beer bar is closing down after more than 14 years in business

One of the first of its kind to open in the capital, Hashigo Zake has been pouring craft brews since 2009.

But it says a series of hurdles, including Wellington Water's ongoing work near their Taranaki Street venue, has crippled the business.

Today will be its last day of trading, with a door charge and all proceeds going to staff.
