Christchurch's Mayor says he's open to further advocating for the city's hospital

Christchurch's Mayor says he's open to further advocating for the city's hospital

Christchurch City Hospital has been plagued with staffing issues, surgery delays, and record breaking emergency department wait times.

Mayor Phil Mauger says he has spoken to the Health Minister, but hasn't heard back.

Mauger says he's more than happy to write another letter, as it's the squeaky doors that get oiled.

He says he can't do much more on these issues, but can help with the other area of concern - hospital parking - as best he can.
