Lindsay Lohan has claimed “no-one” cared when she accused her former fiancé Egor Tarabasov of abusing her

The 31-year-old actress previously alleged that her former partner - whom she split with in 2016 - had hit her, and accused him of attacking her during a vacation on a Greek island, which he later denied.

And now, the star has slammed Hollywood for turning a blind eye to her allegations, despite actors and actresses banding together to condemn disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein, after it was alleged he sexually harassed a number of women over a 30-year period.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress - who was recently slammed for standing up for 65-year-old Harvey - posted a screenshot of herself from the 1998 movie ‘Parent Trap’ on Instagram and wrote: "Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment as if most women in America cared how I was abused by my ex-fiancé…when not one person stood up for me while he was abusing me (sic)”

Lindsay has since amended the caption and removed all mentions of abuse allegations, so it now reads: Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment#strongwoman #BESTRONG #karma will always takes its toll #womensrights (sic)”

The star’s comments come after she defended Weinstein in a series of now-deleted posts on her Instagram story, in which she blasted his wife Georgina Chapman for announcing she has left him in the wake of the allegations against him.

Lindsay said: "Hi, this is Lindsay Lohan. I'm in Dubai, I'm home, and I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now, I don't think it's right what's going on.

"I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.

"And he's never harmed me or did anything wrong to me. We've done several movies together, and so I think everyone needs to stop. I think it's wrong. So stand up."
