David Bradley couldn't stop laughing while filming the Red Wedding in 'Game of Thrones'

The 75-year-old actor starred as the evil Walder Frey in the hit HBO show and in season three, his character shockingly murdered fan favourite Robb Stark (Richard Madden), his pregnant wife and his mother Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) during a wedding feast

The scene shocked fans of the popular series as it was so unexpected, but David said it took a while to shoot and he also admitted he found it funny.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper about the episode, David

said: "I've never had so many laughs. It took a whole week to do it with the different stab wounds and the preamble speech, which I found funny.

"The guy's got a sense of humour about luring people in with bread and salt. I should imagine Stalin had quite a good time inviting people he knew weren't going to be leaving the building."

At the end of season six, Walder Frey got his comeuppance after Ayra Stark (Maisie Williams) - the daughter and sister of those who were murdered - fed him a pie made from his own two sons before eventually slitting his throat.

Despite being killed off, David revealed he still gets people telling him they cannot forgive him for what he did to the fan favourite characters.

He said: "I've had taxi drivers wind down their window and say 'I can't forgive you for what you did!'

"Now I've gone people say 'sorry to see you go'. No, you're bloody not!"

'Game of Thrones' - which is based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series - is set to conclude in 2019, when the eighth and final season will air.
