Jaguares topple another NZ side in Super Rugby

The Jaguares have toppled yet another New Zealand side in Super Rugby

The Jaguares have beaten the Chiefs 23-17 in Rotorua to secure their fourth straight win in a row.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders have just got underway in their Super Rugby match against the Rebels in Melbourne.

The All Whites will look to develop their lesser-known players at next month's Intercontinental Cup.

Following years of constant club and country commitments, it's unlikely New Zealand's bigger names will be part of the four team tournament in Mumbai.

But assistant coach Des Buckingham insists they aren't returning to the Anthony Hudson era, where anyone and everyone got a crack.

Des Buckingham says they'll use a lot of the players who were part of the friendly against Canada in March.

While Steven Adams' availability remains up in the air, the Tall Blacks will be calling on a number of other US based players for their FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

New Zealand will host Hong Kong in Rotorua and China in Auckland in June and July in their next phase of qualifiers, with it unknown whether the NBA big man will be part of it.

Coach Paul Henare says theoretically they should have everyone available, so will be reaching out to their American college players.

Paul Henare says he'll host a number of camps in New Zealand ahead of the first world cup qualifier against Hong Kong.

Kiwi driver Andre Heimgartner has topped the timesheets in the first practice session for this weekend's Supercars event in Perth.

Fellow countryman and championship leader Scott McLaughlin has recorded the fourth best time.

There are another couple of practice sessions before qualifying tomorrow afternoon.
