A big opportunity for young Kiwi kayaker Rebecca Cole at this weekend's world cup regatta in Germany

The under-23 paddler will be a part of New Zealand's senior K4 crew, as selectors assess combinations before naming the quartet for the worlds.

National coach Gordon Walker says Cole has been pushing her case for the past six months.

Multiple world and Olympic K1 200 champion Lisa Carrington will again sit out the K1 boats and focus on the K2 and K4 events.

The world cup gets underway tonight.
