    Michael Vink's a mixture of emotions as he prepares for his first outing on cycling's biggest stage


    The Cantabrian's lining up in his first World Tour event for UAE Team Emirates in the five stage Tour Down Under in South Australia.

    Vink was snapped up by the team after impressing with times on virtual cycling app MyWhoosh.

    He's determined not to get caught up in the occasion.



    Vink's one of a dozen Kiwis in the field - the opening stage begins at 2pm.
