Two men who allegedly shot at Police during a car chase through Hamilton East, have chosen not to apply for bail

Two men who allegedly shot at Police during a car chase through Hamilton East, have chosen not to apply for bail

The pursuit began on Beaumont Street early on Tuesday, when police followed a vehicle they'd spiked, after a report of an attempted car theft.

Police say their car was damaged when two shots were fired, with no one injured.

Open Justice reports 18-year-old Romeo Johnson-Khoun, and 28-year-old Jason Barton were arrested shortly after.

They've been remanded in custody today.

Documents show a third man in their vehicle is yet to be arrested.
