The benchmark side in Super Rugby remains untouchable

The benchmark side in Super Rugby remains untouchable

Discipline proved costly for the Chiefs, as the Crusaders defended their Super Rugby Pacific title on enemy soil in Hamilton.

Three All Blacks were sent to the naughty chair for the Chiefs - Anton Lienert-Brown and Luke Jacobson in the first half, and captain Sam Cane late on.

The Crusaders ultimately outlasted their hosts at Waikato Stadium, winning the final 25-20.

Chiefs coach Clayton McMillan didn't want to use the three sin-binnings as an excuse.
