A 61-year-old Dunedin woman has pleaded guilty to murder - after stabbing her partner 22 times, while he was in the bath

The Otago Daily Times reports her partner died less than an hour after returning to their Tainui home this May.

He'd suffered fatal stab wounds to his lungs, liver and a major artery.

Her name and occupation remain suppressed and she'll appear for sentencing in October.
