    To the opening stage of cycling's Tour of Luxembourg


    New Zealander Corbin Strong's timed his sprint to perfection to win stage one's 156 kilometre trek from Luxembourg to Kirchberg.

    A Commonwealth Games golf medallist and world champion on the track - the triumph was the 23-year-old's first on the road since last year's Tour of Britain.

    The stage victory gave Strong a 10-second time bonus, giving him the early lead in the five-day race.
