Christchurch City Council are drafting plans to stop alcohol related harm around QEII

Christchurch City Council are drafting plans to stop alcohol related harm around QEII

It's proposing an alcohol ban for the park and surrounding area, specifically during events of four thousand plus people.

It comes as a person was allegedly stabbed outside the park, following Belgian DJ, Netsky's concert earlier this year.

Waitai Coastal-Burwood-Linwood Community Board Chair Paul McMahon is urging residents to get out and have their say.

Consultation ends on the 30th of October.
