    Record-breaking temperatures are expected in parts of southeast Australia as residents in four states swelter through a stifling weekend


    Heatwave conditions have been forecast for South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Tasmania until Monday.

    The Bureau of Meteorology warned overnight minimum temperatures tonight are of concern.

    Maximum temperatures in heatwave-affected areas were expected to be 10C to 16C above the March average.
