Christchurch police are investigating several suspicious fires in Shirley overnight

Two bin fires were extinguished before a minor fire was reported on the grounds of the now-closed Hammersley Park School before 11pm.

Police then discovered a wood pile burning at the back of O'Shea's Public House on Marshland Road.

There's been no serious damage reported.
