Two people will face court today after a serious assault in Pukekohe yesterday

Police were called just before 3pm to a report a person had been stabbed at a King Street address.

The victim had just entered the street when he was allegedly attacked by two men, who then fled in a vehicle.

The victim is in hospital in a serious, but stable, condition.

After a search warrant at a Wellington Street address last night, two 19-year-olds were arrested and will appear in Pukekohe District Court today.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, including those with dashcam footage.
