Some risk for the Reserve Bank when the full inflation figure comes through in the next month

Stats NZ data shows overall food price inflation just 2.1 percent for the year to February.

The cost of restaurant meals increased by 6.7 percent - while domestic air travel was up 7.7 percent.

Herald Business Editor at Large Liam Dann says economists are still seeing some upside risk with some products rising in the past month.

He says it's a trade off for lower than expected food prices and some other items and areas which are a bit more expensive than hoped.
