A more positive outlook for the rural sector

ASB's latest Rural Quarterly Report outlines some decent rebounds for dairy prices, and forestry prices slowly turning.

Economist Nathaniel Keall says the rural sector had a difficult 2023 - with low commodity prices and cost pressures on farmers.

He says they're not out of the woods -- but things are improving.

Keall says prices are a bit higher and there's some demand out there, so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel.
