    Family members of the deceased, have gathered at the scene of a double homicide in Gisborne


    Disorder broke out on Lytton Road, Elgin about 11.30pm last night -- involving about 100 people.

    A number of Police units were called to the scene, where two men were found dead.

    Three others were taken to hospital in a critical condition.

    Armed police are at the scene, focusing on a Lytton Road property, near the Birrell Street intersection.

    Armed Offenders Squad officers have been brought into Gisborne, from Hawke's Bay and additional staff also are on their way.
