    Ten vehicles have been impounded this weekend, in Gisborne


    Police targeting illegal activity, impounded five on Friday night, and another five last night.

    More than 50 infringement notices have been issued, and three drivers suspended.

    Damage to local roads from illegal activity over the weekend, is still being assessed.

    Officers are also investigating a number of 111 calls made last night, which have since been confirmed as hoaxes in an attempt to divert police attention.
