A major blow for the Newcastle Knights

A major blow for the Newcastle Knights

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The NRL club have confirmed fullback Kalyn Ponga has suffered a serious foot injury that will likely sideline him for "months rather than weeks".

The reigning Dally M Player of the Year limped off during their loss to the Bulldogs and was seen in a moon boot soon after.

Ponga will likely miss the entire State of Origin series for Queensland.
