New Zealand's drinking water has been shown to be largely free from so called forever chemicals

New Zealand's drinking water has been shown to be largely free from so called forever chemicals

Auckland University research shows New Zealand's water chemical levels were below even the most stringent regulations in the world.

The chemicals also known as PFAs create risks, including developmental effects, immune system disruption and certain types of cancer.

Engineering Associate Professor Lokesh Padhye says New Zealand is an outlier.

He says many countries have PFA levels above the healthy levels.
