Police continue to hunt for a 31-year-old man, wanted following a fatal shooting on Auckland's Ponsonby Road

Police continue to hunt for a 31-year-old man, wanted following a fatal shooting on Auckland's Ponsonby Road

Hone Kay-Selwyn has been named as the gunman suspected of killing a man on Sunday night.

He's previously been in court on assault charges, appearing in the Waitakere District Court in May 2020.

Kay-Selwyn appeared again a month later, after breaching bail, and a third time in December that year, for breaching community detention conditions.

Detective Inspector Chris Barry says they want people to come forward and anyone found to be assisting Kay-Selwyn evade Police, may be liable to prosecution.

He is considered dangerous and shouldn't be approached.
