Rents in Auckland and Wellington are remaining stubbornly high

Rents in Auckland and Wellington are remaining stubbornly high

    TradeMe
    TradeMe
Trade Me's latest Property Rental Index shows the average Auckland rent remains at an all-time high of 550-dollars a week.

The average Wellington rent is 480-dollars -- well above normal for this time of year.

Trade Me says Wellingtonians are increasingly looking outside the central city for rentals, with Lower Hutt being the most popular destination.

Otago rents are also surging, as students lock in Dunedin flats for next year.
