The mystery of seven thousand dollars cash found tucked under windscreens has been solved

The mystery of seven thousand dollars cash found tucked under windscreens has been solved

Gentle Annie Seaside Camping Ground patrons woke on a day late last year to find thousands of dollars cash left under their windscreen wipers.

Owners of the Westport campground realised the scale of the cash giveaway and turned the money into police.

Police have now confirmed that they had tracked down the person who had left the money and it has been returned to them.

A caller told the Greymouth Star that the person behind the cash drop was unwell at the time.
