Former BNZ staffer Zongliang Jiang was jailed for four years and nine months' last year - for taking bribes to facilitate a 54 million dollar mortgage fraud scheme.
Justice Sarah Katz imposed a minimum non-parole period of 50 per cent of the banker's sentence - whom she says was "motivated by greed".
Jiang was one of four people convicted after being charged by the Serious Fraud Office regarding 76 Auckland and Hamilton properties and suspicious mortgages.
