    There has been a serious assault on Marine Parade, Paraparaumu Beach


    Police were called around 8pm.

    The manager of the 180 Degrees Cafe & Bistro on Marine Parade says the crime scene is across the road from the bar.

    He says the road's closed off in both directions and a number of police and other vehicles are at the scene.

    Other locals have said there's been a fatal stabbing, but Police haven't confirmed that.
