Warm weather across the weekend's expected to stick around until midweek

Warm weather across the weekend's expected to stick around until midweek

MetService is forecasting a current ridge of high pressure to influence the weather through to Wednesday, before low's bring in rain to parts of the country.

Forecaster Sonja Farmer says despite low cloud lurking off Wellington - there should be plenty of sunshine around the country.

She says Taumarunui's expected to be the hottest today at 30, and Invercargill the coldest at 19.

There's a host of centres expecting 28 degrees, including Auckland.
