Two tragedies on beaches in the Far North

Two tragedies on beaches in the Far North

A mother drowned last night at Baylys Beach after going out to help her child who was struggling in the water.

The child survived with only minor injuries.

And today one person has died in the water at Langs Beach.

Meanwhile a search is underway off Waihi Beach on the Coromandel after reports of a person in trouble.
