A gang member who shot a woman in the leg in a meth-fuelled rampage has been sent to prison

A gang member who shot a woman in the leg in a meth-fuelled rampage has been sent to prison

Rex Daley earlier pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm during the December 2018 incident in Masterton.

His victim suffered life threatening injuries and had to have her leg amputated after he shot her at close range with a sawn off shotgun.

The attack happened amidst a messy custody dispute between Daley's and the victim's partners.

He appeared in the High Court at Wellington today, where he was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.
