    The man who died from fatal stab wounds in Opua in the Bay of Islands on Thursday night has been named


    He was 22-year-old Bram Willems, of Okaihau.

    Police are continuing to investigate his death.

    Anyone who saw an altercation outside the Work and Income building on Kawakawa's main street around 10 that night is asked to come forward.

    They're also looking for sightings of a silver Toyota Altezza, registration MQE620 in the area around that time.

    A 14-year-old has been charged with murder in relation to Willems' death.

    He's due in the High Court at Whangarei on February 4.
