The Easter weekend is bringing a welcome boost to Northland tourism businesses

The Easter weekend is bringing a welcome boost to Northland tourism businesses

Top 10 Holiday Park at Paihia in the Bay of Islands is booked out - with more than 300 guests.

It's the best Easter weekend the park has had in about 18 years.

Owner Dusty Miller says the big boom follows a year of highs and lows - and he's ready to settle in for winter.

He says November and the first half of December were really quiet, but from the end of the month until Waitangi Weekend was the busiest it's ever been.
