    Staff at Waikato Hospital fear patients could die because of the cyber attack that crippled its IT system


    The outage last month has forced Waikato, Thames, Te Kuiti, Tokoroa and Taumarunui hospitals to use manual processes.

    One Emergency Department doctor says waits of up to an hour to be assessed, could be dangerous in cases of people short of breath.
