    Drugs charges for four people after Northland Police stumbled upon meth, cash and a machete ... while investigating a possible Covid breach


    An 18-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were arrested in Kaikohe on Sunday, when found asleep in a car, after earlier telling officers at a Rodney checkpoint they were returning from medical treatment in Auckland.

    But, when found in Kaikohe they allegedly had cash, meth and a machete.

    They're expected in Kaikohe Court today.

    Meanwhile, Kaitaia Police visiting a home after reports of activity found drug paraphernalia, cannabis, meth and cash.

    A 48-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman are due in Kaitaia District Court today.
