A multi-million dollar cash injection will help Westport as it continues its long road to recovery

A multi-million dollar cash injection will help Westport as it continues its long road to recovery

The July floods left almost a quarter of the town's housing needing repairs, and about 140 people still displaced.

Development West Coast has approved a three and a half million dollar support package.

Buller mayor Jamie Cleine says there's still a long way to go in the recovery.

He says the welfare of residents living away from their homes is the biggest concern - and providing psychosocial support is a top priority.
