A man involved in issuing fraudulent motorcycle qualifications has plead guilty to 24 dishonesty offences

A man involved in issuing fraudulent motorcycle qualifications has plead guilty to 24 dishonesty offences

Police say the man used his position as an approved motorcycle instruction to issue qualifications without people sitting a test.

He issued 285 illegitimate qualifications and 235 were used to obtain a class of motorcycle licence.

Police say the bulk of his offending aided gang members in getting illegitimate motorcycle licenses.

The man is due to be sentenced in the Westport District Court on March 9th.
