Police are searching for witnesses to a fatal crash near Te Kuiti in late March

Police are searching for witnesses to a fatal crash near Te Kuiti in late March

One person died and another was injured after two cars collided on State Highway 3 just north of Te Kuiti about 8.20pm on March 30.

The vehicles involved include a dark coloured Nissan Serena van and a silver Mitsubishi Lancer sedan.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the cars driving, drove behind the Mitsubishi beforehand or who witnessed the accident.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a large white curtain slider truck, that was travelling in front of the van.
