    Police are appealing for help following an assault in Southland which left two men seriously injured


    They were alerted on Wednesday, after the injured men arrived at Gore Hospital.

    Both remain in a serious condition.

    Initial enquires suggest the parties were known to each other.

    Police have today executed three search warrants in the Mataura area, seizing several items of interest.
