New Zealand continues to be battered by bad weather, with forecasts suggesting it won't be over until Monday

New Zealand continues to be battered by bad weather, with forecasts suggesting it won't be over until Monday

Snow has begun falling on the Dunedin Hills, and sucker trucks have been called into Horowhenua-Kapiti to slurp up surface flooding on highways.

Meanwhile people in Levin have been urged to conserve water after two treatment plants were forced to shut down, because the incoming water is too muddy.

MetService has issued 36 weather warnings across the weekend.
