An investigation is now underway after the assault of a three-month-old baby

On Thursday night Police went to a Masterton house where a 3-month-old baby was found with critical, non-accidental injuries.

Ambulance staff immediately rushed the baby to Masterton Hospital, and from there to Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland.

At this time no charges have been laid, but Police ask anyone with information to call 10-5.
