The protesters who have been occupying Wellington's Mahanga Bay are being offered support after being forced to move on

The protesters who have been occupying Wellington's Mahanga Bay are being offered support after being forced to move on

The last 15 protesters -- including remnants of the anti-mandate protest outside Parliament -- were moved on yesterday.

Police say six people were arrested but the others have left the scene peacefully.

Rongotai MP and Wellington mayoral candidate Paul Eagle says he's heard from many people in his community who wanted the group to move on.

Members of the protest group are being referred to Kahungungu Whanau Services for support, as some of them don't have homes to go to.
