    MetService is keeping a number of weather warnings and watches in place this afternoon


    There are warnings of heavy rain for Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and coastal Clutha and Dunedin.

    The Hawke's Bay region south of Hastings and Wairarapa may be hit by strong wind.

    People travelling on the Lindis Pass on State Highway eight, and the Crown range Road, are being warned to drive to the conditions with snowfall expected before 4pm.
