More than 180 flights and most Cook Strait ferry sailings were cancelled during severe weather yesterday, including heavy gales in Wellington.
State Highway 6 west of Murchison, Ruapehu's Bruce Road and State Highway 35 east of Opotiki all remain closed following severe weather earlier this week.
