Flights have resumed from the capital's Airport, following the cancellation of more than 180 flights and most Cook Strait ferries yesterday.
Newstalk ZB's Sean Hogan says things are running okay at Auckland Airport.
He says there are few cancelled flights still on the board, some stressed looking families around, and a few people still trying to negotiate their way home.
Meanwhile, a major landslip on a main road through the Wellington suburb of Wadestown could cause disruption for several days.
