The South African born all-rounder top scored with 44 off 34 balls to help the hosts post 165 for eight batting first.
He then snared five wickets for 11 runs from his four overs as Otago rolled Auckland all out for 128.
The result sees the Central Stags as the only side to date to pick up a win in the men's competition - they host Canterbury in New Plymouth tomorrow.
