    Police in South Canterbury are seeking the owners of five sheep found in poor condition


    A mob was discovered in a vehicle on the outskirts of Ashburton about 4 this morning.

    Detective Sergeant Colin Welsh says there is no suggestion the vehicle was stolen.

    Images have been released this morning and police are asking anyone who recognises the animal's ear markings should contact Ashburton Police.
