    Work on critical infrastructure continues in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle, amidst news of another heavy rain watch in force for Gisborne from 3am tomorrow


    In Gisborne, SH2 to Opotiki has re-opened this morning, but extreme care is required. SH35 from Te Puia to Tolaga bay remains closed.

    in Hawkes Bay, SH5 between Napier and Taupo is closed and the Napier Taihape Road is closed.

    In Gisborne, water is still at the extreme alert level and Waikanae and Midway beaches remain closed.
