    Police want information after a 58-year-old man was found dead while competing in a mountain bike event in Wanaka over the weekend


    Police say his body was found on the side of Mototapu Road, Glendhu Bay shortly after 9am Saturday.

    He was competing in the Motatapu annual off-road race.

    Senior Sergeant Chris Brooks wants anyone who saw the man beforehand, or saw exactly what happened, to come forward.
