Cabinet ministers have today agreed to extend the business support package to cyclone-affected businesses in Wairarapa.
Police have now made contact with every person unaccounted for in Hawke's Bay.
In Gisborne District, work is underway clearing silt from homes, while Wharekopae Road north of Matawai is blocked after a large truck got stuck in a washout area overnight.
On the Coromandel Peninsula, State Highway 25 between Hikuai and Opoutere remains closed following further collapse of an underslip overnight.
Meanwhile, the Government is seeking public feedback on possible changes to the rules about trees near electricity lines and infrastructure.
